The next installment in the *Mafia* series has been announced: *Mafia: The Old Country*. This fourth mainline game will launch in 2025 on PS5, Xbox Series S/X, and PC via Steam. Set in Sicily during the 1900s, the game will explore the origins of organized crime through an original story. Fans can now wishlist the game on Steam.

The announcement was accompanied by an in-engine cinematic teaser trailer, though it didn’t reveal much about gameplay or the storyline. The game promises a gritty mob tale set in the brutal underworld of early 20th-century Sicily. Players will experience intense action brought to life with the same level of realism and storytelling that the *Mafia* series is known for.

The game will feature a linear narrative set in Italy, focusing on the franchise’s roots and delivering a classic mob movie feel. According to Nick Baynes, president of Hangar 13, the developers are crafting a deep, immersive experience in a new setting that will appeal to fans of the series.

More details about *Mafia: The Old Country* are expected to be revealed in December. In the meantime, all previous *Mafia* games are on sale on Steam until September 2. While there’s no exact release date yet, the game is expected to arrive sometime next year.
