Two new games based on the iconic horror franchise *Halloween* are reportedly in development by Boss Team Games, the studio behind *Evil Dead: The Game*. While details are scarce, a website for the games has been launched, featuring a subscription form for players interested in receiving updates.
According to a report from IGN, the games will be based on John Carpenter’s 1978 slasher classic *Halloween*. Boss Team Games is said to be collaborating with the producers of the *Halloween* film franchise on these projects. However, no official titles or release dates have been announced yet. The website, https://halloweengame.com/, lists Compass International Pictures, which holds the rights to the *Halloween* franchise, and Further Front Publishing alongside Boss Team Games.
One of the two games will reportedly be developed using Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 5, with Carpenter himself closely involved in the project. As a gamer and the visionary director behind *Halloween*, Carpenter is expected to help bring the infamous Michael Myers to life in the game.
The games are expected to let players experience iconic moments from the original film and play as well-known characters. While there is no clear timeline for the release, it is reported that the Unreal Engine 5 project is still in the early stages of development.
Boss Team Games has a track record of developing video games based on established franchises. In 2022, they released *Evil Dead: The Game*, an asymmetric survival horror title developed by Saber Interactive, based on Sam Raimi’s *Evil Dead* franchise. The game was made available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X. The studio also released *Cobra Kai: Card Fighter*, a mobile game launched on Android and iOS in 2021.
