The Asus ROG Ally X was launched in India on Monday, following its global debut at Computex 2024 in June. This handheld gaming device features a 7-inch 120Hz display and is powered by the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme CPU. As the successor to the 2023 ROG Ally, it brings several upgrades, most notably a larger battery—addressing one of the main concerns with its predecessor.

Priced at Rs. 89,900 in India, the Asus ROG Ally X is available in a single black color. It can be purchased through the Asus ROG Store, Eshop, Flipkart, Amazon, and various offline retailers.

The Indian variant of the Asus ROG Ally X shares the same specifications as its global version. It boasts a 7-inch full-HD IPS touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 7ms response time. The display offers a peak brightness of up to 500 nits and 100 percent sRGB coverage. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, and AMD’s FreeSync Premium technology helps reduce screen tearing during gameplay.

The device measures 28.0 x 11.1 x 2.47 cm and weighs 678g. It is powered by a 4nm AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme chipset, featuring Zen 4 architecture with 8 cores and a peak clock speed of 5.10 GHz. The chipset is paired with an RDNA 3 GPU and 24GB of LPDDR5X dual-channel RAM. The device includes a 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD for storage, which can be expanded up to 4TB. It runs on Windows 11.

To enhance the gaming experience, the Asus ROG Ally X features a dual-speaker system with Smart Amplifier Technology and Dolby Atmos support. It also includes an in-built array microphone with Hi-Res certification and AI noise cancellation.

For connectivity, the device offers a Thunderbolt 4 port with DisplayPort support, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a UHS-II microSD card reader. It supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2. The device is equipped with an 80Wh 4-cell Li-ion battery—double the size of its predecessor’s battery—and supports 65W charging via USB Type-C.
